Inspired by the historic charm of Breckenridge, this unassuming home seamlessly merges traditional aesthetics with cutting-edge sustainable design.

Starting with Adaptive Re-use, the home’s shape and placement were planned to sit on an existing foundation and take advantage of the pre-existing driveway paving, utilities, mature trees and other site features. A renewable energy system, a high-efficiency wood-burning fireplace and advanced insulation contribute to remarkably low energy consumption, even in the high alpine environment. A fine-tuned floor plan makes for comfortable living for the architect’s family of four plus a home office and a guest bedroom suite, all fitting into 2400 SF.
