This Second Empire row home in Oxford, England presented a unique opportunity to work with Riach Architects and Oxford’s Historic Preservation Council.
Completed during my time as Senior Project Manager at Ruggles Mabe Studio, the project included a rear extension, a full exterior restoration, and extensive interior remodel. Internal walls were removed to provide a large social area on the ground floor and the original 200 year old stairway was refreshed with all-new steel railings and newels. Steel doors and windows seamlessly blend with historically accurate brickwork, carved stone details, and slate accents, creating a refined harmony between classic and contemporary design.
